Photography is very personal to me because of the history of my eyesight. As a toddler, my parents discovered that I was on the verge of going blind and in dire need of glasses due to amblyopia. I remember having the condition at a young age, whenever I took my glasses off, everything became two, which was a symptom of the eye condition. After years of wearing glasses, my vision has improved leaving me with just astigmatism. I am grateful. That is why instead of viewing my natural blurry vision as a curse, I see it as another chance.
And looking through my Nikon lens gives me a clear vantage point of the beauty of everyday life that I used to yearn for. So, as crazy as it sounds, I got my photographer’s eye from my lack of vision. I’m still perfecting my focus, but I hope you’ll enjoy the sights with me.
